Fair Art is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, operating in the Czech cultural environment since 2012. It brings together students and graduates of law and other fields, that all have a common interest in trying to raise the awareness of basic legal matters among artists and art initiatives, in order to protect themselves and their creative endeavors.

Through specialised lectures and courses, we are trying to develop and deepen the basic legal knowledge of both students and absolvents of art schools as well as the general public. Thanks to the cooperation with a network of attorneys, we are providing legal assistance to low-income artists and nonprofit arts and cultural organizations.

Fair Art aims to build a platform that will become an equal partner to the public institutions while cultivating the public art policy, such as funding or legal regulation.

We want to be the defenders of art, which we see as one of the fundamental and irreplaceable pillars of our culture and society.
